Challenges Facing Web-based College English Learning

Web-based English learning has become so overwhelmed that most of the colleges have introduced into the traditional classroom. Research on the use of web to facilitate language learning has been widely publicized. However, the current status of web-based English learning in colleges is far from satisfactory. Therefore, some challenges concerning technology, students and teachers have been mainly discussed. The paper concludes that although there are formidable challenges in English learning, web-based college English learning can still add some value to education under teachers' careful guidance and support.
