γ-Induced thermal stability and thermal studies on timolol β-blocker

摘要
Timolol drug, has been investigated by using X-ray diffraction analysis, thermogravimetry (TG), differential thermal analysis (DTA), IR, HPLC and electronic absorption spectra (UV/Vis), before and after exposure to gamma-radiation. The interaction of gamma-rays with timolol has been studied. Results obtained indicated high stability toward gamma-absorbed dose over the range 5-50 kGy.
