摘要
This paper presents an application of satellite image technology for rerouting electric power transmission lines. Satellite images produced by using ENVI software were used as our major tool. Information from remote sensing and geographic information system (GIS) can be extracted by using photographs from LANDSAT ETM and topographic map. In this paper, areas of Nakhon Ratchasima province, north-east of Thailand, were examined for a case study. The main objective for rerouting electric power transmission lines is to remove all transmission portions located nearby or passed through a community.
