摘要：

In this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial that included patients hospitalized with unstable angina pectoris or non-Q-wave acute myocardial infarction, we demonstrated the effectiveness of high-dose atorvastatin in reducing low-density lipoprotein cholesterol in 5 days. In addition, the same therapy reduced high-density lipoprotein cholesterol; this last result is of uncertain clinical meaning.
