摘要
Electrical discharge machining is the most extensively non-conventional machining process used to obtain complicated shapes with high accuracy in a wide variety of materials. In this paper, the results of an experimental approach performed to deepen understanding of the complex micro-EDM drilling process and the shape of the obtained micro-hole are presented. The experiments were conducted by using a Sodick A3DL ram electrical discharge machine using Cooper and Graphite tool electrodes of different diameters. The effectiveness of the EDM process was evaluated in terms of the material removal rate (MRR) and electrode wear ratio (EWR).
