Metallic phases in sodium fulleride NaxC70

摘要
We synthesized sodium fulleride NaxC70 and measured its electrical resistivity and magnetic susceptibility. The Na-saturated phase in NaxC70 was determined to Na11C70. Following Na doping, the resistivity of NaxC70 film decreased to 5.4 x 10(-3) Omegacm at x = 8, and increased slightly with further doping. The contribution from Pauli paramagnetism was observed in the magnetic susceptibilities of NaxC70 at x = 8 and 11 from both SQUID and ESR measurements. Na8C70 and Na11C70 are considered to be possible candidates of metallic Phases in NaxC70.
