摘要：

The scientific evidence basis for early-onset palliative care has increased significantly in the past decade thanks to a large number of controlled studies. Due to the complex symptoms and psychosocial stress situations suffered by head and neck cancer patients, they may benefit particularly from multiprofessional palliative support. However, these patients also require a disease-specific perspective, e.g., with respect to expectable crises and emergencies. This review therefore focuses on specific palliative care demands of patients with head and neck cancer.
