THE COMPLEXITY OF TRAINING TEACHERS IN THE PRACTICAL ASPECTS OF EDUCATION: THE IMPORTANCE OF "EXPOSES ORAUX"

摘要
The steady team-work we have done with teachers and prospective teachers over the years confirms what research says on prospective teachers when in their first experiences of teaching. More precisely, referring to those researches which analyse teaching practice, we confirm that prospective teachers than focus mainly on surviving in their new school environment and its rules. Consequently, energy and work on components related to subject matter is at its lowest! Faced by this reality, we, as didactics of mathematics teacher trainers, must focus on how to work in order to improve the math teaching dimension all through the first immersion of our students in the reality of teaching. The activity called "exposes oraux" was put on in the nineties with this aim. It works at bringing our students to make for themselves what we do "easily" with them and in front of them in our lessons: use the good vocabulary, use properly usual and mathematical language to develop reasoning, use gesture, representations to build understanding... We report here the first very positive results of this new activity exposes oraux on prospective teachers.
