摘要
This study aimed to test the mediating effect of self-transcendence on the relationship between academic self-efficacy and life satisfaction. Data were analyzed through multiple regression using Baron and Kenny's steps for assessing mediations. The life satisfaction of adolescents' in Korea was correlated with gender, grade, academic achievement, relationship with peers and religion. In addition, relationships with peers played a significant role in academic self-efficacy, self-transcendence and life satisfaction. Academic self-efficacy, self-transcendence, and life satisfaction were positively correlated. Self-transcendence had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between academic self-efficacy and life satisfaction. Based on these findings, intervention programs increasing adolescents' life satisfaction should consider increasing academic self-efficacy and the value of self-transcendence.
