Effect of kinetin on chlorophyll, protein and RNA content of detached date palm (Phoenix dactylifera L) leaves

摘要
Detached (old and young) date palm (Phoenix dactylifera L.) leaves floated either on kinetin (10 and 40 mg/L) or water showed a decrease in chlorophyll, protein and RNA. Kinetin treatment resulted in a considerable, though not total, reduction in these losses. The intensity of the kinetin effect varied with the age of the leaf.
