摘要：

The purpose of the present report is to present a review of the application of diagnostic ultrasonography (B-mode) in the equine eye. An explanation of indications, personal and working-room conditions, the preparation of the patient and the equipment is given. Normal equine ultrasonic anatomy and examples of pathology (abnormal masses in the anterior chamber, cataract, luxated lens, vitreal hemorrhage, retinal detachment, foreign body) are described.
