摘要
Mass shootings, also known as mass killings, and active shooter incidents are all too common. Mass shootings are defined by the Congressional Research Service as events where more than 4 people within one event or in close proximity are killed with a firearm. This article aims to inform the provider of the background of mass shootings, what things to look for, how to interact if in a situation with an active shooter, and resources to plan and provide care for victims.
