Collective structure in neutron-rich Cr nuclei around N=40

The microscopic structure of the neutron-rich Cr nuclei around N=40 is investigated using spherical shell-model calculations. The calculations reproduce well the known energy levels for Cr nuclei, and predict the collectivity around neutron number N=40. The calculated B(E2;2(1)(+) -> 0(1)(+)) systematics show the strong collectivity around N=40. The sudden drop of the 9/2(1)(+) from Cr-55 to Cr-59 and the low-lying 0(2)(+) states around N=40 are discussed. We predict a new band built on the 0(2)(+) state in Cr-64 with N=40.
