Synthesis, crystal structure, Hirshfeld surface analysis, spectroscopic studies, electric and dielectric properties of the new Hg(II) complex with N,N-dimethy-p-toluidine ligand: [C9H14N]HgCl3

摘要
A new organic-inorganic hybrid material, N,N-dimethy-p-toluidinium trichlormercurate(II) [C9H14N]HgCl3, has been synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction, Hirshfeld surface analysis FT-IR, FT-Raman, and impedance spectroscopies. It is crystallized in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n. The atomic arrangement shows an alternation of organic and inorganic layers. Between layers, the cohesion is performed via N-HaEuro broken vertical bar Cl hydrogen bonding. Hirshfeld surface analysis and fingerprint plots are used for decoding intermolecular interactions in the crystal network and contribution of component units for the construction of the 3D architecture. The presence of different functional groups and the nature of their vibrations were identified by FT-IR and FT-Raman spectroscopies. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) studies indicate a presence of one-phase transition around 335 K. The complex impedance of the compound [C9H14N]HgCl3 has been investigated in temperature and frequency ranges 298-378 K and 50 Hz-5 MHz, respectively.
