Unusual anion effect on the direction of three-dimensional (3-D) channel-like silver(I) coordination frameworks with isonicotinic acid N-oxide

摘要
Reaction of isonicotinic acid N-oxide (HINO) with AgClO4 or AgBF4 under similar conditions unexpectedly generates two distinct crystalline products {[Ag-3(INO)(2)(HINO)(2)]center dot(ClO4)}(n) (1) and {[Ag(INO)]center dot(H2O)}(n) (2). Complex 1 consists of a 3-D cationic net with mixed-connected topology and the included perchlorate counterions, whereas 2 has a 3-D neutral open framework (4-connected crb topology) with the accommodation of lattice water. The anion exchange/competition and guest desorption/adsorption behavior have also been thoroughly explored.
