摘要
Timber Buildings have pioneering character in terms of energy consumption and sustainability. However, compared with buildings in masonry and concrete construction, the planning process of a timber building is a much greater challenge. The reasons for this are, among others, the lack of proven designs and design tools for sound insulation and serviceability. In the following essay computational models and tools for the planning process and for the optimization of floors with respect to sound insulation are presented.
