摘要
The European Union is going through a phase of great changes. Since Romania joined in 2007 from the organisation integraionista had to improve its economy to face new challenges. Although we are not yet an economic power in the European Union, the crisis has affected us in equal measure as other Member States. The present work is meant to be a study about the way in which some macroeconomic indicators for the Euro area have affected the rate of real growth of gross domestic product. The chosen period is between year 2004, year in which it was first put the accession of Romania to the European Union and 2011. This period includes the entry of Romania into the European Union. The conclusion that emerges is that the Romanian economy is under the direct or indirect influence of change through which Euro area, forcing it to take steps to counteract the economic shocks.
