摘要
Despite the constant improvement in planning and scheduling methods for construction projects, some fundamental problems have remained unsolved. This paper examined the ontology behind the modeling of activities, relationships, resources and productivities, and analyzed the fundamental requirements for multi-level scheduling and integration with other business functions. A generic planning and scheduling method was proposed based on the continuous simulation technology and the object-oriented technology. It promotes a micro-level method which assures accuracy, flexibility and interoperability for modeling complicated, real-world projects. Efficiency is not sacrificed because of the highly-structured planning approach and the automatic schedule generation function.
