摘要
Viscoelasticity theory is employed to model the rheological behavior of viscoelastic dampers. Differential equations describing the constitutive relationship of viscoelastic dampers are derived. The ordinary differential equations are solved analytically and numerically for a few common forms of stress histories. The example studied in this paper is the simulated hysteresis loops, which are commonly investigated in viscoelastic damper testing. Also illustrated is the process for solving the stress-strain relationship for more complicated or arbitrary stress history.
