摘要
Chloride induced corrosion of reinforcing steel is one of the most significant deterioration problems of reinforced concrete structure. Inspection of chloride or corrosion is resources consuming. Therefore, effect of chloride and corrosion of reinforcing steel on heat transfer of concrete was studied in order to determine possibility of using thermograph to detect chloride contaminated and corrosion of reinforcing steel. In this study, concrete mix proportions with different water to binder ratio and fly ash replacement were prepared. External infrared heater was applied to surface of reinforced concrete specimen. Corrosion of reinforcing steel was accelerated by impressed current. The results show that there is temperature difference at location with and without reinforcing steel. The maximum temperature is almost 2 degrees C. This difference is due to non-uniform coarse aggregate distribution, chloride contaminated concrete, rust contaminated concrete and confined rust layer.
