摘要
This work aimed to evaluate the psychometric characteristics of the parent version of the Preschool Parent Involvement Questionnaire. This study involved 174 parents of preschoolers from six schools. The analyses of the instrument' s psychometric properties supported this version validity and revealed good levels of reliability. The principal component analysis partially confirmed the three dimensions distinction defined by the Epstein typology (1987, 1992). The study revealed four components: preschool/family communication; parenting proactive behaviors of involvement in the preschool, parenting reactive behaviors of involvement in the preschool, and parental involvement in home learning activities. Reliability was explored through internal consistency analysis with Cronbach's alphas between .82 and .94 for the subscales and the total scale. The parents QEPJI version adaptation data seem to emphasize the need to study parent school involvement in this developmental stage using multiple informants.
