Integration of OAM and WDM in optical wireless system by radial uniform circular array

摘要
We propose and experimentally demonstrate a novel network architecture to realize fiber and wireless orbital angular momentum (OAM) integration. Each mode of the OAM generated by a radial uniform circular array (UCA) is used to carry the signals from a WDM channel. We demonstrate a MIMO-free 900 Mbit/s fiber-wireless link using two independent OAM beams at 5.9 GHz carrier frequency. Both OAM channels are recovered with bit-error rates below 3.8 x 10(-3). Also results show that weak crosstalk exists at 5.9 GHz employing the proposed antenna with isolation of different channels more than 10 dB.
