摘要
Introduction: Obesity is considered a public health problem worldwide. Research carried out with mice with obesity induced by a diet rich in fatty acids, report that aerobic exercise reduces inflammation and improves insulin intolerance, increasing sensitivity to this hormone. Objective: To evaluate the glucose levels of mice fed a standard diet and a diet with a high lipid and glucose content, sedentary and submitted to moderate and intense aerobic exercise. Materials and Methods: Experimental, prospective, analytical and quantitative study. Analysis of variance -ANOVA was performed, followed by Tukey's test. Results: The present study showed a significant difference between the HFD+ICE group with the HFD and the HFD+ICE with the HFD+MCE. Energy consumption was higher in the hypercaloric diet and intense exercise group. There was a significant decrease in weight in the ST group with ST+ICE and in the ST+MCE group with ST+ICE. In the insulin sensitivity test and in the glucose tolerance test, there were no statistically significant differences between the standard diet groups and the groups submitted to moderate and intense continuous aerobic exercise as well as the hypercaloric diet groups. Conclusion: Although this study did not present results at the level of significance regarding the use of moderate and intense physical exercise in the evaluated sample, it is understood that such activities help to reduce insulin resistance, in addition to acting as a non-pharmacological treatment for treatment and prevention of several pathologies associated with obesity.
