摘要
This study investigated into the localisation accuracy of natural sound sources at various azimuth and elevation angles in a critical listening room. Dry recordings of bird and aeroplane were used. A total of 33 real source positions were tested, ranging from 0 degrees to 90 degrees and 180 degrees to 270 degrees azimuth and -30 degrees to 90 degrees elevation angles with 30 degrees intervals. The results showed that both perceived azimuth and elevation were significantly affected by the source frequency content. The pitch-height effect was present and was most dominant on the median plane and frontal hemisphere. Furthermore, a significant azimuth shift towards the lateral plane was observed on the off-centre axis; this effect was stronger for the elevated positions on the rear hemisphere.
