摘要
Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) has become a tool of choice in state-ofthe-art diabetes management with the added benefit of replacing self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) in some cases, which many patients find stressful. CGM also plays an essential role in automated insulin delivery (AID) systems and has increasingly become state of the art in type 1 diabetes treatment and care. Even so, CGM is costly at between _4 and _10 per day currently, requiring responsible use of CGM in terms of patient selection and indication. Germany's Diabetes & Technology Working Group (AGDT) first assessed CGM in 2012 regarding the technology and literature available at the time, and defined indications for the practical use of CGM in Germany in a consensus statement. The resulting comments on various indications and developments will be covered in the following. This contribution will describe the current status of CGM as based on statements given by the AGDT up to now. A recently published analysis [Lin 2021] has confirmed the analysis performed by the AGDT.
