摘要：

The purpose of this study is to establish the proper spot heating conditions to increase the fatigue strength of welded structures such as gusset weldments. For this, heat input models for welding and spot heating were developed and the change of the residual stress at the weld toe by spot heating was evaluated by FEA and experiments. And fatigue test was employed to confirm the effects of spot heating on the fatigue strength at the weldment.
