摘要
TiO2 nanorods have been prepared on various concentration of NaOH by combination of ball milling and refluxing process at temperature of 120 degrees C for 24 hours. The materials were characterized by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM). The characterization results show that the TiO2 material phase changed from anatase into brookite and decreased the crystal size. The TEM morphology was showed that the materials have a rod-shape which are characteristics of the nanorods. The materiasl was used as coating material in Pt electrode (Pt-TiO2 NRS) for electrodegradation of methyl orange dyes (MO). The effect of pH solution of MO dyes and electrolysis time have been investigated. The mechanism of electrodegradation of MO by Pt-TiO2 NRS electrode mainly involved the OH radical attack of parent molecules, and the Pt-TiO2 NRS electrode shows a good repeatability dan reproducibility.
