摘要
The antifungal activities of crab hell chitosan and fludioxonil (registered postharvest fungicide) were evaluated in vitro against Botrytis Penicillium sp. and Pilidiella granati isolated from pomegranate fruit. Mycelial growth of the pathogens was inhibited by both chitosan and fludioxonil in a dose-dependent manner, with complete inhibition at 10 and 0.01 mg mL(-1), respectively. The concentration causing a 50% reduction in mycelial growth (EC50) ranged between 0.5-2.2 mg mL(-1) and 0.1-0.5 mu g mL(-1) for chitosan and fludioxonil, respectively. This study has demonstrated that crab shell chitosan can be used to control pomegranate postharvest Pathogens Botrytis sp., Penicillium sp. and Pilidiella grartirti. Sensitivity to chitosan may be species dependent and in this study P. granati was the most sensitive, with complete inhibition of mycelial growth at 1 mg mL(-1) of chitosan.
