Synthesis of fullerene-like particles during fullerene extraction from shungite

摘要
The synthesis of fullerene-like particles during fullerene extraction from the shungites (Sh), which are the black Precambian rocks of Karelia, was discussed. The widely available Sh-3, which allowed the fullerene extract to be removed from the solvent by the addition of water, was used to increase the efficiency of fullerene extraction. Results showed the assence of calorimetric evidence for the existence of fullerite in Shungite carbon, free space limitation for formation of crystalline fullerite and globular organization of the carbon.
