Preparation of some zinc chloride based deep eutectic solvents and their characterization

摘要
In this investigation, the evaporating method was successfully employed for the preparations of three deep eutectic solvents (DES) based on zinc chloride with different HBDs such as glucose, fructose and lactic acid. These DESs were subjected to study their physical properties such as density, conductivity, viscosity and pH. The H bonded interactions of these DESs were analyzed using FTIR spectroscopy. Three zinc chloride-based DESs were successfully synthesized and reported in this study. Data obtained indicated that the all these DESs are existing as a clear liquid at room temperature and the findings showed that the newly formed DESs have the potential for the usage as solvents.
