Thermal properties and crystallization behavior of Poly(trimethylene terephthalate) copolymers containing isophthalic units

摘要
The thermal properties and crystallization behavior of copolyesters based on different molar ratios of polytrimethylene terepthalate to polytrimethylene isophthalate (PTI) were analyzed. Compositions of the polyesters were analyzed by C-NMR spectrometry and the samples were dissolved in a mixture of CDCl 3 /CF3COOD. Tetramethylsilane was used as an internal standard. Isothermal crystallization was carried out with a JJY-IA instrument. The effect of inclusion of isophthalate unit in the chain replacing the terephthalate unit was also found. Detailed studies of crystallization and melting behavior of PTTI copolyesters with an emphasis on their crystallization kinetic were also analyzed.
