Chaotic communications using synchronized semiconductor lasers with optoelectronic feedback

摘要
The concepts and progress made in the research on chaotic communications using semiconductor lasers with optoelectronic feedback are reviewed. Recent experimental results are presented to demonstrate the feasibility and performance of this chaotic communication system at a high bit rate of 2.5 Gb/s with a message encoding scheme of additive chaos modulation. The message is completely blended into the chaotic fluctuations in the time domain and is spread over the broad chaotic spectrum in the frequency domain. This system has the ability to maintain identical synchronization for high performance at a high message bit rate and at a large message strength. (C) 2004 Academie des sciences.
