摘要
This paper addresses the analysis and optimization of the inerter based vibration absorber. Tuning of parameters based on the H-2 optimization and the minimax optimization is done to determine which parameters minimize the total vibration energy and the maximum displacement respectively. The achieved inerter based vibration absorber is superior to the mass based vibration absorber for each of the optimization metrics. The inerter based vibration absorber is of importance because an increase in inertance does not lead to increase in mass and no addition mass mounting has to be imposed on a pre-existing system.
