摘要：

This paper explores structural changes in job creation and destruction in the U.S. manufacturing sector. The job destruction rate does not reveal any structural breaks. Labor demand restructuring activity in the U.S. is initiated by job creation, not job destruction. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
