摘要：

The optical spectra of the layered semiconductor BiI3 are calculated in the range 0-6 eV for 6, 77, and 286 K. The spectra are decomposed into transverse and longitudinal components, and their principal parameters are evaluated. The key features of the optical spectra and transitions are compared with the results of band structure calculations.
