On spherical wave scattering by an electrically small layered sphere and a related inverse problem

摘要
A spherical electromagnetic wave is scattered by a layered sphere with a perfect electric conducting core. Low frequency results are obtained by approximating the known exact expressions of the scattering cross section. The inverse problem of determining the sphere's center and the layers radii and materials is treated from the knowledge of the leading order term of the scattering cross section's low-frequency expansion.
