摘要
In this study, the development of a new strategy toward a one-pot three-component synthesis of polysubstituted coumarins starting from 5,7-dihydroxy coumarins, aryl aldehydes, and benzamide has been explored that is catalyzed by zirconium nanoparticles (ZrO2 NPs) as an expedient and reusable heterogeneous catalyst. The reaction proceeds under solvent-free conditions to afford the target products in high yields. The other salient merits of this methodology are a simple work-up process, cleaner reaction profiles, shorter reaction times, and no need for column chromatographic purification. [GRAPHICS] .
