摘要
In this work, economic performance of the ultrasonic atomization liquid desiccant dehumidification system (UADS) was investigated by comparing with the classical packed-bed systems. Same operating conditions and the indicators, namely the coefficient of dehumidification performance (DCOP) together with the specific energy consumption (SEC) were employed during the evaluation of operational economy. Distribution of the energy consumption within the two systems were revealed and the energy saving potentials brought by the ultrasonic atomization technology to the running process of the dehumidifier and the regenerator were clarified. It was found that applied with the ultrasonic atomization technology, the DCOP was significantly improved (with the amplitude reached 38%) in the UADS while its SEC (11.02 kJ/g) was much lower than the conventional packed-bed system (21.89 kJ/g). This work may help in clarifying the operational economy of the UADS system. (c) 2017 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
