摘要
A novel approach to model the component based software system reliability is presented. This approach is based on the idea of path analysis and operational profile. The layered reliability model is built by using characteristics of comparatively unattached component development process and system development process and is useful in software reliability evaluation when the detail of test is available. According to the layers of path information and particular degree of component information, model can be used at the appropriate granularity. One case study was conducted to study the application and the behavior of the layered model. And some methods of improving the accuracy of reliability estimation is proposed.
