(Figure Presented) Divide and conquer: Split inteins link their fused polypeptide sequences with a native peptide bond. This protein trans-splicing (PTS) reaction can be exploited for manifold applications in protein chemistry and biotechnology. © 2009 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
