(Figure Presented) Game, set, and mismatch: In a new method for the detection of base-pair mismatches, an immobilized DNA strand with a cleavage site (black square) and a detection tag (red circle) is hybridized with the target strand. If the target nucleotide has a mismatch, then the marker is released from the solid phase (see scheme). © 2007 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
