摘要
Our purpose here is to explore avenues of possible relief for colleges of business administration that confront the demands of a changing educational environment and shifting organizational control. Because colleges of business operate within the larger context of a university, we begin by examining pressures buffeting the university in this changing environment and follow with a review of organization control based on transactions cost theory (Ouchi, 1980, Williamson, 1975). Using the theory, we describe a shift in organization control. Last, we propose a prescriptive framework that identifies strategic choices that are available to colleges of business administration.
