摘要：

The evolution of cloud computing in the past few years represents probably one of the most significant advances in the IT history. However, in order for this new technology to reach the highest peaks of its potential there needs to be a clear understanding of its implications concerning both the cloud services providers and the consumers. Within this article we want to emphasize the position of the Romanian companies towards the new technology and analyse their capacity to sustain the data migration into the cloud. Nowadays, many researches are undertaken in order to study the impact of cloud on the business and the conclusions provided reveal the many benefits of such a transition. Nevertheless we can not wonder if we are ready for such a step. This is the question we want to find answers for throughout the article.
