An overview is given on the solid-phase synthesis of traceless organic compounds. Focus is on (a) traceless linkers, (b) miscellaneous traceless linkers, (c) cyclization-cleavage strategies in traceless synthesis, (d) traceless linkers for tertiary amine synthesis, and (e) traceless linkers for ureas, secondary amides, sulfonides, carbamates, and gaunidines.
