Studies on the friction and lubrication characteristics in the sheet steel drawing process

摘要
In the paper, a probe test method is employed to detect the friction conditions of the interfaces between the tools and the workpiece. At the same time a measurement apparatus developed by the authors for the probe test method is presented. Based on the analysis of force, a correlative friction model is also given. Using the measurement apparatus, the friction tests are performed on hot-galvanized sheet steel (steel brand: ST07Zn) using various kinds of lubrications in the rectangular drawing process. With the experimental data gained from three different probe test positions, the friction and lubrication characteristics in the sheet drawing process are elucidated. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V.
