摘要
The kinetics of silver(I) catalyzed oxidation of glutamic acid by cerium(IV) has bee studied in acid perchlorate medium. Both the order with respect to glutamic acid and hydrogen ion dependence are complex. The rate law corresponds to the reaction mechanism. k=(k(1)K(1)[GA(+)]+k(2)K(1)K(2)[GA(+)](2))[H+](1+K-1[GA(+)]+K1K2[GA(+)](2))(K-h+[H+]), where k is the second order rate constant.
