Modelling and coordinated control for load following of nuclear power plant

摘要
An accurate and simple mathematical model of nuclear power plant, which includes the water level model of steam generator, has been developed. With the model, a new coordinating control strategy based on feed-forward compensation is proposed to improve the load following performance of the nuclear plant. The new control strategy consists of a feed-forward reactor power controller and a water level feedback controller and feed-forward controller designed using internal model principle. Compared with the existing conventional PID control, the proposed scheme has a much improved transient performance during two typical load-following scenarios.
