摘要
Chromatographic process provides a powerful tool for the separation of multicomponent mixtures. In recent years, simulated moving bed (SMB) technology has become increasingly attractive for complex separation tasks and emerged as the leading chromatographic separation technique in the fields of pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, and biotechnology. In this paper, a detailed model that takes into account linear adsorption isotherm was developed to simulate the complex dynamics. The model can be solved correctly by numerical simulation using finite element method.
