摘要
The theme of the public space and its revitalization is an integral part of good socio-cultural life and the positive atmosphere of the city for its inhabitants and visitors. Current Slovak legislation does not adequately regulate the urban areas and does not create the appropriate conditions for the conceptual entry of the architect. There is no way to get "genius loci" of public spaces, their hierarchization, humanization. In countries where this process is regulated and consistently incorporated in urban planning documentation, revitalized urban spaces create a hierarchical structure with different uses for social and cultural activities. Finding a way to improve the current state of public spaces in Stupava helped us to express our views on how to apply current trends in the existing urban structure of the city. A comprehensive methodology has been developed for creating a concept of public space, which is based on an urban public space that is relieved from cars that serve a dominant pedestrian movement and creates the conditions for restoring existing functions and adding new creative forms of use. Selected activities and creative work with natural factors - water, greenery and light, art-visual and audiovisual make walking more atractive. The solutions offered in the case study are looking for the uniqueness and attractiveness of the place, looking for continuity, and looking for a way to change Stupava to a pleasant city for people who are breathing history with a valuable cultural link.
