Experimental Study of Two-Phase Flows through Open-Celled Metallic Foams

摘要
We studied adiabatic co-current two phase flows. Flow regimes were identified. Influence of pore size, flow rate quality and flow regime on two-phase flow are analyzed. Two model of pressure drop are compared to experimental determination. Results are compared with those obtained in glass packed bed using the Lockhart-Martinelli approach. Reasonable agreement is observed. This new results database give access to two-phase flow pressure drop prediction for engineering applications.
